How should we fit it?

File size

When off, photos are saved at the best quality without worrying about file size.
If the site you're uploading to has a size limit, turn it on.

30×40mm at 300dpi, a common resume photo size.
It's not an official standard, so check what the employer asks for.

If the ratio differs, the center is cropped to fit.
You can move it with 'Adjust position' in the results.

FAQ

Do photo specs differ depending on where they're used?+

Yes.
A common passport and ID size is 35×45mm (413×531px at 300dpi, JPG up to 500KB), U.S.
visa and passport photos are a 2×2 inch square (600×600px, JPEG up to 240KB), and resume photos are often 30×40mm.
Pick a spec at the top and the photo is fitted to it.
Rules vary by country, so check the official guidance before submitting.

Which option should I pick for a resume photo?+

There's no official standard, so we use the widely used 30×40mm size by default.
If the employer or job site gives pixel or file size requirements, enter them with 'Custom'.

Does it also fix the face size and background color?+

The face is found automatically, and the photo is cropped so the head height (top of head to chin) and position match the spec.
Face detection also happens only on this device.
Requirements like a white background, looking straight at the camera and being taken within the last 6 months have to be met by the original photo, so please use a photo taken for ID purposes.

Are my photos stored on a server?+

No.
Your photos are never sent over the internet.
They're processed only inside the browser you're using right now, and when you close the page, both the originals and the results are cleared from your device's memory.

Is information like the photo's location passed along too?+

Result files don't include EXIF metadata such as location or device info.
The rotation info is applied first so your photo doesn't end up sideways, and then it's removed.
