FAQ

Why won't my HEIC file upload?+

HEIC is the iPhone's default photo format, but many job and application sites only accept JPG or PNG.
This often happens when you move iPhone photos to a computer and then upload them.

Does converting lower the quality?+

If you don't turn on a size limit, the photo is saved at high quality (95 or above), so you'll barely see a difference.

The first conversion takes a little while.+

That's because the HEIC converter (about 3MB) is downloaded the first time.
After that, it's fast.

Are my photos stored on a server?+

No.
Your photos are never sent over the internet.
They're processed only inside the browser you're using right now, and when you close the page, both the originals and the results are cleared from your device's memory.

Is information like the photo's location passed along too?+

Result files don't include EXIF metadata such as location or device info.
The rotation info is applied first so your photo doesn't end up sideways, and then it's removed.
