FAQ
What happens to transparent backgrounds?+
JPG doesn't support transparency, so transparent areas are filled with white.
To keep a transparent background, choose PNG as the save format.
Why does converting PNG to JPG make the file smaller?+
PNG saves images without any quality loss, so photos and other images with complex colors end up large.
JPG trims detail your eyes are unlikely to notice, so the same photo is saved much smaller.
Are my photos stored on a server?+
No.
Your photos are never sent over the internet.
They're processed only inside the browser you're using right now, and when you close the page, both the originals and the results are cleared from your device's memory.
Is information like the photo's location passed along too?+
Result files don't include EXIF metadata such as location or device info.
The rotation info is applied first so your photo doesn't end up sideways, and then it's removed.
